Across the Middle East, escalating conflict is putting civilians in danger.
People are being killed and injured, and families are fleeing as homes, schools and hospitals come under attack.
In Lebanon: Intense airstrikes have forced tens of thousands of people to flee to emergency shelters – some on foot. Others are sleeping on the road or in their cars, desperately seeking safety. UNHCR is working with Lebanese authorities to provide essential items to families fleeing to shelters in southern Lebanon, the Bekka Valley and Beirut's southern suburbs.
In Iran: UNHCR is working to assess the scale of the crisis. Iran currently hosts 1.65 million refugees and others in need of international protection.
In Syria: More people are crossing into Syria from Lebanon following evacuation orders. UNHCR staff are present at border points and ready to respond.
UNHCR will stay and deliver across the region – protecting lives and providing emergency aid. But more help is urgently needed.

Many affected countries host millions of refugees and internally displaced people who are already highly vulnerable.
Thanks to its established presence in the region, UNHCR is ready to play a leading role in the response, with emergency supplies available for rapid deployment.
Supplies include family tents, blankets, sleeping mats, kitchen sets, buckets, jerry cans and solar lamps.
