Dozens of Ukrainians, including children, have been killed or injured in one of Russia’s largest aerial assaults since the full-scale war began.
Over three days in May, Russia fired hundreds of drones and missiles on 10 regions in Ukraine, including Kyiv.
The people of Ukraine live in constant fear of these brutal attacks, which can strike almost anywhere.
From schools to apartment blocks to maternity wards to cafes, nowhere in Ukraine is safe.
Homes, hospitals, schools and energy infrastructure have been destroyed. Many families are sheltering in badly damaged houses or crowded accommodation centres cut off from heat, light and water.
Please donate now to help repair damaged homes, provide safe shelter and distribute emergency cash so families can pay for food, medicine and clothing. Your gift is a lifeline for Ukrainians enduring a fourth year of horrific war.
Violent attacks have forced more than 10 million people to flee for their lives. Countless homes have been destroyed, along with schools, hospitals and vital infrastructure.
Tetiana, 67, recalls the terror she experienced every day in her small village in Mykolaiv, which came under heavy fire earlier in the war.
“A lot of missiles were hitting around us,” she says. “My husband and I were hiding in the toilet, praying. We slept each night in the corridor. We kept a shovel next to us, if we had to dig ourselves out from under rubble.”
UNHCR is working tirelessly to provide displaced families with survival essentials. However, brutal funding cuts mean Ukrainians may soon miss out on vital aid.
The people of Ukraine urgently need shelter and protection amidst these devasting attacks. Your donation can provide safety for families forced to flee their homes, like Tetiana.
We cannot let the people of Ukraine miss out on emergency aid - lives are at stake.
